Hi, I’m Nawel 👋
I’m a Pilates teacher, movement enthusiast, and lifelong student of the body. My approach to movement has been shaped not only by Pilates, but by my love of dance, yoga, circus and other movement practices.
I discovered Pilates about 10 years ago through dance, but my curiosity about movement started long before that. I’ve always been drawn to sports and physical disciplines that let me explore what the body can do—building strength, finding flexibility, learning new skills, and discovering abilities I didn’t know I had.
Over the years, I’ve explored movement through dance, yoga, circus and aerial arts, swimming, and Pilates. Teaching others has reinforced the same fascination: the body is capable of so much more than we often believe.
And perhaps what I love most about teaching is watching someone realize that for themselves. So much of movement and fitness is also about mindset. Sometimes the first thing we have to work through isn’t a physical limitation, but the belief that “I can’t do that.” My classes are an invitation to be curious, try things, and hopefully prove yourself wrong.
That’s part of why I believe so strongly in the idea that movement is medicine. Not because movement has to be intense or punishing, but because moving regularly helps us stay connected to our bodies, maintain our strength and mobility, and continue discovering what we’re capable of.
I discovered Pilates through dance and fell in love with its balance of strength and softness, precision and play, stability and freedom. As a teacher, I want my classes to be a place where you can learn, not just follow along. I’ll challenge you, but I’ll also give you the tools to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing, so you can take those skills with you beyond the studio.
I’m not interested in chasing the perfect body or whatever fitness trend happens to be popular this month. I want to help you build a body that feels strong, capable, mobile, and at home in itself—and hopefully discover a few things you didn’t think you could do along the way.
And yes, I’ll probably ask you to do some things that make you wonder why you ever signed up. That’s part of the fun.
